Is there a limit for a contactless transaction amount?
Payments through the contactless mode are allowed as per limits in the table below. For any transaction amount more than US$20.00, you will be required to input your Prepaid Card PIN. These limits apply to all cards and setting up of individual limit is not possible.

Can I use my contactless Card at other merchants who are not enabled for contactless payments?
Yes, for the merchants not enabled for contactless payment acceptance, you can use this card for a normal dip or swipe transactions.
Could I be debited twice if I have more than one contactless card?
No, as contactless readers will only communicate with one card at a time. If the shop’s reader finds more than one contactless card in your wallet or purse, you will be asked to select one card to pay.
Could I unknowingly make a purchase if I walk past the reader?
No. Your card must be waved within 4cm of the card reader for more than half a second and the retailer must have first entered the amount for you to approve. Terminals can only process one payment transaction at a time, therefore reducing transaction errors.
Is there any difference in the process for ATM and Internet transactions for this contactless Card?
For ATM transactions you need to enter the PIN and for Internet transaction you need to enter your 3D secure PIN and OTP.
What should be done in case of a lost or stolen Contactless Prepaid Card? What will happen if a transaction is done using a lost card?
In the case of a lost card lost, block your card immediately either through the Steward Mobile App or Customer Portal, Branch or through our cardcentre helpdesk (263 772 191 191). If you observe any fraudulent transactions on your prepaid card report to Steward Bank immediately.

What are the terms and conditions for limit increase?
POS/Online monthly transactional limits are $10,000 but can be raised upto $35,000. The limit increase however is done on a case by case basis subject to customers providing full KYC i.e, 2 passport photos, copy of ID and proof of residence in accordance with bank policy.

What do I need to apply for the VISA Card?
The following are the VISA Card Application requirements:
- Copy of National Identity Card / Passport / Driver`s License/ (Student Identification for Student VISA Card)
- Proof of residence
- 2 passport photos
- Completion of Visa Prepaid Card application form
- The card issuance fee US$10, (inclusive of US$6 card issuance and US$4 initial deposit)
- Students who present valid student IDs, get the card at half the price - US$5 (Inclusive of US$1 card issuance and US$4 initial deposit)
How and where do I apply for the Card?
The Steward Bank VISA prepaid card is sold through Steward Bank branches and selected Steward Bank agents. All you need to do is visit any Steward Bank branch, complete a Steward Bank Prepaid VISA Card application form and submit the form together with your ID & US$10.
Once this is done, you can collect your card from the Customer Service Officer within the branch. It only gets better, alternatively, order your card in the comfort of your home or office. Simply contact the cards team on WhatsApp number, (+263784448393) and book for card delivery within 48hrs.
How do I fund my Steward Bank VISA Prepaid card?
The card can be funded through Steward Bank Branches, Selected agents and Steward Bank FCA account. You can also receive funds from a transfer from another Steward Bank VISA card, through VISA direct from any international VISA card and from PayPal as well.

Can I request a statement on my VISA account?
Download the Steward Visa mobile app on Apple store and Playstore and download your statement free of charge. Alternatively, write to cardcentre@stewardbank.co.zw, quote the last 8 digits of your card number in the subject line.
What do I do if I lose my card?
If you lose your Steward Bank VISA Prepaid Card, immediately log onto the mobile app and block your card, in addition, get in touch with our customer service personnel using the details listed below. This will enable the Bank to confirm your card has been successfully blocked in order to protect your funds. A replacement can be requested at the branch, agent or home delivery service at a cost of US$10 (inclusive of card).

RTGS TO VISA Transfer
- Log on to the internet banking, mobile application or USSD banking platform of the originating bank.
- Select RTGS Transfer.
- Enter receiving VISA card details (NB: Please enter the full 16 digits of VISA card number as the destination account).
- Confirm and send.
VISA Direct
Who can send me money?
Anyone with an account, wallet or card that is enabled for VISA Direct origination, usually accessed through their Bank’s mobile app or online banking. The sender may verify if this service is available with their Bank.
What information am I required to give to the sender?
Only your 16-digit Steward Bank VISA Globetrotter Card number along with your name. Do not disclose any other details such as the expiry date or the CVV number (3-digit security code at the rear of the card)
What is the maximum amount that can be sent?
Sender financial institutions have varying limit restrictions and your sender should verify with their Bank. The transaction will be declined if the amount being sent exceeds the authorised limit. You may receive funds to the maximum of your monthly transactional limit.
How long does it take to receive the funds?
Visa Direct funds will be credited within 30 minutes to 1 hour of transaction depending on sender institution.
What if I do not receive the funds in the prescribed timeframe?
Notify your sender if funds are not received in an hour’s time.
How do I use the funds once credited?
Make POS/online payments or withdraw funds from an ATM that accepts VISA
