Bernard Chidzero

Board Chairman

Mr Bernard Thomas Rugare Chidzero has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director and Board Chairperson for Steward Bank Limited with effect from 1 June 2016. Mr Chidzero holds a Bachelor of Business Studies (University of Zimbabwe) and a Masters in Business Administration (IMD, Lausanne). Mr Chidzero brings to the Board his substantial experience in private equity investment and strategic business management. Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Agis Investment (Proprietary) Limited.

Courage Mashavave

CEO

Courage is an accomplished financial services practitioner having been in the industry for over 15 years holding various positions in Retail, Corporate and Investment Banking. He brings a wealth of experience in Corporate and Structured Finance, Treasury and Portfolio Management, Private Banking and managing impact Investment Funds. Courage is a fellow of the Association of Chattered Certified Accountants (“FCCA”) and holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from the University of Zimbabwe. Courage is also a member of the Institute of Directors in South Africa (IoDSA)

Cleopas Kadzimu

Chief Operating Officer

Cleopas is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe. He served his Articles of Clerkship with Deloitte. He has over 15 years industry experience having held senior finance roles in the Manufacturing, Renewable Energy and Telecommunications sectors. Cleopas is a holder of a Bachelor of Accountancy Honours and a Post Graduate Diploma in Auditing.

Rugare Chidembo

Board Member

Mr Rugare Chidembo is an Experienced Board Member, chairing Board Audit Committees and occasionally acting as Board Chairman. He is highly analytical and is skilled in the study of documentation including finer details of contracts, resolutions and board papers. He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy and an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe. Mr Chidembo is a Chartered Accountant, he qualified as Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Zimbabwe (registered in 1987), passed FQE first time in 1983 and did 3 years’ articles at Deloitte & Touché in Harare from 1983 to 1985. He is a member of the Institute of Directors of Zimbabwe and is also currently the Founder, CEO and Director Narru Holdings (Pvt) Ltd (NH) since October 2020.

Roy Chimanikire

Board Member

Roy is the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Econet Wireless Zimbabwe . He joined the Group from Deloitte & Touche where he was a Partner . Roy is a qualified Chattered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honours) Degree from UNISA and a Certificate in Theory of Accounting from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ) . He is a registered Public Accountant and is a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe. Roy has over 20 years post qualification experience and is a past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ) . He has extensive experience in Accounting and Governance matters and continues to participate in various projects to improve the financial regulations in Zimbabwe.

Morgen Mufowo

Board Member

Morgen is a consultant for Agriculture Start Ups from August 2021 to date. He worked as Chief Information Officer for Econet Media Ltd from 2016 to 2021 where he left on retirement. He holds a BSC General in Computer Science and Biology from the University of Zimbabwe and an MBA in Arts and Leadership and Management. He has gone through the Africa Leadership Development Academy under the University of Zimbabwe. Morgen is a full member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe and has strong working knowledge of both business and technology in the telecommunications and media industries. He has experience in Information Systems leadership backed by in-depth understanding of how technology solutions enable telecommunications, media and financial services businesses. His areas of specialty include Systems Integration, Solution Architecture, Information Security, Organizational Development, Systems Development; Fraud and Revenue Assurance Systems; Mobile Money and Payment Systems; Data Centres; Systems Life Cycle, Billing & IN, ISP & IAP Business, Mediation, ERP Systems, Value Added Services and Directing Projects.

Hazvinei Kapfunde

Board Member

Hazvinei is the current Operations Executive for TN Asset Management (Pvt) Ltd.

Hazvinei is an all Round Banker with over 27 years of experience in the Financial Sector. He has extensive experience in Treasury and Banking, Legislative and economic environment in Zimbabwe, Domestic and International Markets, Business Risk and Compliance as well as Agricultural and manufacturing Industries in Zimbabwe.

He is a holder of a Master of Business Administration qualification and is as Associate of the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe (BAZ).

Nadine Gabi Levy

Board Member

Mrs. Levy is currently working as a Consultant providing support on Strategic planning, business development and Conflict resolution. 

Nadine has vast experience in various fields, having started off working in the family business from a young age. She is a Legal Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in the financial services sector. She was previously employed as a Structured Finance Specialist at ABSA Bank responsible for the risk and legal function within the team, including the Compliance function. Nadine has also consulted on various projects including: Insolvency and liquidation, Winding up of companies, Deceased Estates, Mediation and Pro Bono work for Schools and Non-Profit Organisations. 

She holds LLB, BA Com degrees from University of South Africa. She is also a Registered Compliance Officer with the South African Futures Exchange and Financial Services Board (RSA).
